BRM Charity Pub Quiz raises £515.28 for the British Heart Foundation
On Thursday 12 April 2012, we held a Quiz Night at the Barley Mow on Saltergate in Chesterfield as part of our ongoing efforts to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
In hindsight, our confidence in using the strap-line “Think you’re smarter than a Solicitor?”, may have been slightly misplaced given given that both BRM teams were soundly beaten by most other competitors.
The evening was a great success, with entry fees and raffle raising a fantastic £515.28.
Chesterfield’s t-mac Technologies (pictured below) proved themselves to be super-boffins, winning both the main quiz and scoring, a quite unbelievable, 100% in our fiendishly difficult picture round.
We wish to thank Ady and and the staff at the Barley Mow for letting us take over the pub for a night and a big thank you also goes to all the companies who entered teams along with the Barley Mow patrons who were caught up in our shenanigans and were kind enough to buy raffle tickets.
Here are a few pictures of the evening..more will be added shortly.
