Legislation Limiting Back-Dated Holiday Pay Claims Introduced
New employment legislation has been introduced by the government which will come into force from 8th January 2015.
The Deduction from Wages (Limitation) Regulations 2014 comes on the back of a recent Employment Appeal Tribunal ruling which stated that regular overtime should be taken into consideration when calculating an employee’s holiday pay.

Shared Parental Leave Legislation Changes
New legislation will come into force on 01 December 2014 and will apply to parents (who meet the relevant criteria) where their baby is born or where a child is placed with them for adoption after 05 April 2015.

ACAS Publishes Early Conciliation Statistics
As reported back in my Employment Law Reform Timetable in early 2013, in May of this year new rules relating to Early Conciliation in Employment Tribunals were introduced.
The new rules mean that anyone making Employment Tribunal claims from 6th May 2014 had to first notify ACAS.
